Nang Num Aye

Education for women is a must since women hold a significant role in a country, said Nang Num Aye, the Director of the We Women Foundation. 

Nang Num Aye stated: “Education is important for everyone. Many women were left out of their educational opportunities because their families did not give them a chance and the way to school was too difficult. That is why we prioritize our support for these disadvantaged women to get their studies.”

The We Women Foundation is a non-profit organization that focuses on helping disadvantaged women to get more opportunities to study.

Nang Num Aye said that the We Women Foundation was established in 2009. The Foundation provides scholarships for women to continue their studies, conducts English classes for women to be more productive at work, and organizes seminars that can be useful for women.

“We organize monthly workshop with useful topics for women. For example, we provide training on how to start small businesses with the topic Women agents of change and the knowledge about laws related to women. Once they get it, they will be able to share it with their friends and communities,” said Nang Num Aye.
