Nang Seng Nom, A Wordsmith Opposing Dictatorship

Nang Seng Nom was born in Muse, a town located in Northern Shan State near the border with China. She embarked on her career as a journalist in 2010.

In early 2010, I engaged in small-scale trading operations. However, since I experienced discrimination and injustice, I decided to cease my business. Then, I decided to take a risk and traveled to Rangoon.

In Rangoon, I found a lot of news journals that were rarely seen in my hometown. Everything seemed new to me, igniting my interest, and fueling my desire to learn more.
